I was pleasantly surprised Friday night at the Chamber of Commerce KBEX Awards. During his gracious and generous acceptance speech in which Citizen of the Year Rocky Perkins thanked the many people involved in the success of the World Junior A Challenge (WJAC), I was called to the stage. At that time I was given a cheque from the WJAC for $20,000 to pay down the ice rental debt owed by the Klippers.
The Klippers have been bringing down their debt and are on track to meet the terms of their debt reduction agreement.
Congratulations to the WJAC for their commitment to Kindersley and the Klippers.
